A Day in the Life of a

Whole Educator Coach

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine a typical day as a Whole Educator coach. Can you see it? Let me paint a picture for you.

You wake up, feeling energized and ready to tackle the day ahead. You head into school, knowing that you are making a real difference in the lives of teachers and students.

As you walk through the hallways, every teacher greets you with smiles and waves. (Yes, every teacher! Even the one who was resistant to coaching at first.) They’re excited to see you, knowing you are there to provide much-needed support and guidance.

Your first stop of the day is a second-grade classroom. The teacher is trying out a new reading strategy, and you’re there to provide feedback and support. You observe the lesson, taking notes and jotting down ideas. When you sit down with the teacher to share your feedback, she asks meaningful questions and leaves the meeting excited to try out the ideas you've suggested.

You head to the teacher's lounge to grab a cup of coffee and catch up with some colleagues. They’re excited to hear about your recent success with a particularly challenging student and ask for your advice on how to handle a similar situation.

After your break, you have a planning meeting with a teacher who is struggling with classroom management. You provide resources and ideas, and the teacher is grateful for the support.

Later in the day, you lead a training on a new teaching strategy. The teachers in attendance are engaged and excited to learn, and you create a fun and interactive environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas and asking questions.

At the end of the day, you head home feeling fulfilled and energized. You know that you've made a real impact in the lives of teachers and students, and you can't wait to do it all again tomorrow.
